Rick,

We could always rely on seeing one or two around our house in Bethesda, 
suburban DC, as we saw on out deck at dusk.  The last few years they have 
become less common.

Morning all,
This is a bit off topic. Has anyone else noticed the lack of bats this 
season? My daughter and I have both noticed that we've seen no bats over the 
yard at all so far this season, which is unusual. I've sat on the deck till 
nearly dark on several nights without seeing a single bat.
