I am aware of this disease, just not that aware of how devastating (or perhaps pervasive and widespread here in MD) it is. This is very disturbing!

Bats are dying in large numbers due to a fungal disease named White Nose Syndrome. Once fairly localized it is now widespread.

Morning all,
This is a bit off topic. Has anyone else noticed the lack of bats this season? My daughter and I have both noticed that we've seen no bats over the yard at all so far this season, which is unusual. I've sat on the deck till nearly dark on several nights without seeing a single bat.
