After seeing a lot of other chatter recently about kestrels, I was reminded to put this bit in here. Patterson Park is an extremely good place to see kestrels with young and to observe feeding behavior. In the evening one if not several are highly visible in the Northeast section of the park near the marble fountain, pagoda and community garden. Tonight three were visible hunting dragonflies and mosquitoes, 2 females and a male.
