This was last winter, but I saw a pair of Kestrels on Washington Blvd in Baltimore (on the light poles of an industrial park) on the way to a work meeting at the Dept. of the Environment.

I stepped outside this morning from a furniture installation at Hamden 
Elementary School, only to enjoy a male AMERICAN KESTREL fly by and perch atop 
tall tree hon. 


I see more Kestrels in Baltimore in the summer than all of my (work) territory 
on the Eastern shore. Nice to see urban Kestrels apparently succeeding.
