Hi All,

I ran the La Plate 2 Breeding Bird Survey route this morning, there were
plenty of nice birds around including numerous KENTUCKY WARBLERS, and good
numbers of grassland bird species. The standout highlight of the route was
a sub-adult MISSISSIPPI KITE at stop 45. The stop is located south of Route
6 in the gravel drive called Dyson place, it does not have a street sign but
it is more or less .4 miles from rte 6, there is a green cable box with the
number 7 on it, the bird was flying along the wood line to the south.

Good birding!
