Hugh Simmons led a beginner bird walk at Gunpowder State Park for Chesapeake Audubon this morning and asked that I pass this along:

Mississippi Kite,  1st summer bird. Sweet Air Section of the Gunpowder State Park. 9:00 am,  6/26/11.  39.32.01 N, 76.30.33 W  Headed northeast. The bird was low, maybe 40 ft up and, at one point, directly overhead.
