Kingman and Heritage Islands are now open. They are the two District properties on the Anacostia River, near RFK Stadium. Hours are 9am-5pm currently, but they are looking to expand hours soon. 

Not much out there this morning; indigo buntings, red eyed-vireos, tree swallows, barn swallows, and a brown thrasher. The red fox was spotted several times, as well an out of range Mississippi Map Turtle. There is an eastern kingbird nest about 6 foot above the high tide mark on your left, as you take the first bridge to Heritage Island.
