An adult Common Moorhen was in the impoundment with all the cattails.  
First one seen here since mid-May AFAIK.  Two Great-horned Owls were 
counter-calling near the road, and a Barred Owl had the nerve to join 
them--though from the relative safety of the opposite direction.
