On the way out of the Swan Creek wetland, Jim and I were on the road 
between the wetland and the Cox Creek fill facility when we saw a bird 
bathing in a rain puddle. I was in the middle of texting a reply to Dan 
Haas, so Jim scoped the bird. It turned out to be a White-throated 
Sparrow. It flew into the tangle next to the road and we managed to get 
good additional looks at it again about 100 feet north where it was 
sunning and preening post bath. A nice bird for July 7 anywhere in the 
state, although I was told that someone else had one just a few days ago 
in Harford.
