I've seen KIFI in City Park in Hagerstown, but can't recall seeing them on
Antietam Creek, but I'm sure they're there. It's very woody along the creek
and would be pretty good habitat.

Subject: [MDOSPREY] HAGERSTOWN KINGFISHER

While attending the Hagerstown Suns game this afternoon, i observed a
Kingfisher fly over the field.  (I wouldn't have ID'ed it except that it was
vocalizing as it flew.)  It was headed toward Antietam Creek, but i wondered
where it had  been?  The City Park lake is a fair distance from Memorial
stadium, but perhaps that was where it came from, or perhaps there are some
ponds on the closer (is it) Rose Hill Cemetery on Memorial Blvd.  Anyone
have any knowledge of KIFI territory size?
