Jane Kostenko went out in the heat of the afternoon and whiffed on the Myrtle Point American Avocet. As soon as I got back into St. Mary's County around 6 pm, I drove down to the pier at Town Creek to look at Pt. Patience and didn't find it then I hiked around Myrtle Point and still didn't find it. C'est la vie! At least when I was hiking around it was under 100 degrees. Poor Jane was out in 101 temps. Yuck.
