Again, while volunteering I noticed the following birds. This time they were all from deeper in the wooded areas, near the Zoo Hospital in grounds off-limits to the public due to quarantine. This makes them extremely attractive to birds.

Hospital/Embassy Woods:
Acadian Flycatcher 2 *
Ovenbird 1 *
Red-shouldered Hawk 1
Carolina Wren 3 *
House Wren 2
Barn Swallow 7
N. Rough-winged Swallow 2
Chimney Swift 8
American Kestrel 2 *
Yellow Warbler 1 *
American Redstart 1 *
Kentucky Warbler 1 *
Scarlet Tanager 2
Baltimore Oriole 3 *
Wood Thrush 1 *
Great Blue Heron 1
American Robin 6
Cedar Waxwing 5

* indicates that at least one of this species was heard only.

Good Birding,
