FYI, this is the same place where a flock of Wood Storks was last year. If they venture out to the Potomac River, they're in Charles County airspace. George, this one's for you! When you're done with them, please send them to Pt. Lookout.

Hi everyone,

There is a flock of 4 immature White Ibis at Caledon Natural Area, A Virginia Sate Park in King George, VA.  Caledon is on the Potomac and only 10 mins from the Governor Harry W. Nice Bridge.

This morning 4 birds were in a part of the park that is closed to the public.  Park staff are willing to take birders to see them if they are not doing other interpretive programs.  Birders would need to call ahead of time to make arrangements at 540-663-3861.

I was out of town for a week at a funeral and apparently they were there then which was two weeks ago between July 5 -11.

Naturally,
Mike Callahan
