Now that my computer is running again I can report on the birds that
Debbie Terry and I saw at the Paper Mill Flats on Friday, Aug. 5:
Canada Goose 160
Wood Duck 3
Mallard 7
Great Blue Heron 5
Great Egret 1
Semi Plover 5
Killdeer 11
Greater Yellowlegs 1 molting adult
Lesser Yellowlegs 30
Semi Sand 800, a record high number for the Maryland Piedmont
Western Sand 2, very rare in the Piedmont
Least Sand 60
Great viewing of a large number of shorebirds at close range.
