Hi all --

Acting on the midday report of 8 Upland Sandpipers at the intersection of
Lilypons Rd. and RT 85, Barry and I headed out there. We arrived about
3:00 PM and found the Uppies to now be in the grassy field on the SW
corner of Oland Rd. and Rt. 85.

And there weren't just eight, there was an even DOZEN! Quite a sight and
one we have not enjoyed in Maryland for some time.

They could be viewed from Oland Rd pretty well but the best viewing was
from Rt. 85, pulling well off on the verge on the east side and viewing
from
the raised embankment.

Several Meadowlarks and a probable Grasshopper Sparrow (which
perched briefly on a fence wire) were also in the field.

We drove by Lilypons and scanned the ponds from the road but didn't see
any sign of the White Ibis or any white egrets.
