Howdy!

Piney Reservoir is shrinking, and the mudflats are growing. Shorebirds included spotted and solitary sandpipers, lesser yellowlegs and plenty of vociferous killdeer.

I also flushed a Virginia rail from the cattails below the riprap of the dam.
