Overnight Pelagic Aug 21-22

There is one spot available for a Maryland overnight pelagic trip departing from Lewes, Delaware on Sunday August 21 at 10 PM and returning on Monday at about 6 PM.  The trip is being run by See Life Paulagics.  
 
The cost of the trip is $385.  
 
Prime time of the year to try for White-faced Storm-Petrel, Band-rumped & Leach's Storm Petrels (seen in 2010), Long-tailed Jaeger, Cory's, Greater, and Audubon's Shearwaters, and Wilson's Storm-Petrel.

FYI, this is shaping up to be a very interesting year.  On a CMBO pelagic I helped organize for the week before Memorial Day, we had a Bridled Tern.  Mike Fritz was out fishing a few weeks later and found 5 Bridleds.  That crazy early.

There have been Gulf Stream influences pouring into our area for months.  The water at the canyons is already in the mid to upper 70s, a.k.a. "White-faced temperature".  Who knows what it will look like by the time we go out.  Here's a recent sea surface temperature chart.  Baltimore Canyon is that inward bulge just above the 38 degrees on the 600 ft. line.
