After birding Turkey Point early this morning for several hours, I headed south on Rte. 213 to try to find the Upland Sandpipers. I first wanted to check out the pond in Manor Circle which is south of Rte. 40 (Elkton?). I turned east on
W. Williams Road and found Manor Circle but the pond seemed to be dried up. As I was driving back to Rte. 213, I saw an adult LITTLE BLUE HERON sauntering by the pond on the golf course (north side of W.Williams). There was absolutely no place to pull over so I went back to 213 and turned around in a parking lot. The bird was still there but I still couldn't find a safe place to stop. Once more I turned around and now the bird was gone.

I couldn't find any UPPIES on Mill Lane but that certainly doesn't mean they weren't there. I did find two LESSER YELLOWLEGS and one GREATER YELLOWLEGS.
