FERRY NECK, AUGUST 20, 2011:

In addition to mention of a few birds this posting is an attempt to improve the format of my reports as they appear on MDOSPREY, since they translate from my computer into a very different format than that of the originals.

For example, I indent 7 characters at the start of each paragraph but the reports appear on MDOSPREY indented 13. This original today has no indentations.

My reports show no blank lines between paragraphs. This report is an effort for them to show one (only) blank line.

Here goes.

On Saturday, August 20, George Armistead saw some migrants on Ferry Neck at our property, Rigby’s Folly, including Prairie, Canada, and Chestnut-sided warblers, a Baltimore Oriole, redstarts, a record early Sharp-shinned Hawk, an unID’d empidonax, perhaps as many as 10 Bald Eagles, and a Solitary Sandpiper.

The previously reported Louisiana Waterthrush was seen 3 times during the course of the day. It was shown to his 3 non-birding guests.

Best wishes. – Harry Armistead, Philadelphia.
