Hi all --

One of those misty heavy mornings that usually don't prove very active,
and as it turned out, a good prediction. Only the Blackflies were out in
profusion(ouch!) However we did manage 6 species of warbler and a nice
fresh HY YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER. Most of the activity was in the
vines along the mini-train tracks and wood edge along the lake. The "mix"
of migrants was very similar to the last few days and most are probably
hold-overs. Maybe the hurricane will force a chance in the cast of
characters!

We ran by Brookside Gardens and checked all the snags and NO sign of
th Olive-sided FC, seen there early this morning. However they do seem
to disappear for long periods and there are a LOT of snags in this park!

Birds of interest:

Green Heron - 4
Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 4
YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER - 1 bright 1st autumn bird
Empid. sp - 1
Eastern Wood-pewee - 6 (one feeding a fledgling)
Great Crested Flycatcher - 1
Red-eyed Vireo - 10+
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 2
Blue-winged Warbler - 1 bright male
Chestnut-sided Warbler - 5
Magnolia Warbler - 3
Canada Warbler - 3
Common Yellowthroat - 1
American Redstart - 6
Eastern Towhee - 3
Chiping Sparrow - 5
Baltimore Oriole - 2

Lots of Goldfinches enjoying the seeding grasses near the train tracks.
