It was a great night for Common Nighthawks seen from our roof deck.  29 in all, including a flock of 11 flying high and due South, with the rest in small groups heading West and feeding.  Interestingly, I heard no vocalizations.  Does anyone know if there is any rhyme or reason to when nighthawks vocalize during migration?  Thanks.
