2 Avocets just flew past Hains pt. I picked up the birds as they flew low over the water, upriver along the MD side. They didn't want to go up the Anacostia, so they crossed the mouth of that river, flew right past the point and then continued up the Potomac.

Then the cop came and told me that they're closing the gate and I needed to move my car or have it locked up for the weekend. So I'm moving it now. I'll walk back to the river shortly.
