The Rockburn field trip this morning turned up 10 species of warblers. A nice day with a good variety of species. (Kevin Heffernan led and will post the trip list to the howardbirds.org website.)

I returned home to a nice adult BALD EAGLE flyover and then birded Schooley mill in the afternoon and had a flyover MERLIN. 3 sparrow species at Schooley with FIELD, CHIPPING and SONG. A few more weeks until “sparrowtime”......Here is a quiz bird that can be mistaken for a sparrow....sometimes they will have very have streaks and can be very confusing. http://flic.kr/p/am4Vr2

Also....and awesome huge Northern water snake!
