I see Jim Brighton posted about some good birds he and Jared Satchell had early this evening in Queen Anne's County, including Hudsonian godwits and a large group of Cattle egrets.

Earlier today I had 2 Hudsonian godwits together in a farm field, very close to Route 18 in Chester, across from the Chesapeake Veterinary Clinic. There were many gulls and a few Killdeer there as well. They were there from before 2 PM until at least 2:30.

Even earlier (1:30 PM), and later, I had 31 Cattle egrets in the cattle field across from Farmer John's on Route 8, just south of Route 50, on Kent Island. (Dan Haas was going to try to see both the godwits and egrets on his way back home; maybe some luck would include photos :)

Earlier, further south on Route 8, at the Matapex Plantation community entrance, I had 1 BB Plover, 1 Black Tern, 2 Gr. Yellowlegs, 1 Lesser Yellowlegs, 3 Great Blue Herons, 1 Snowy and 1 Great Egret, 1 Imm. Bald Eagle, and many gulls, mostly Laughing Gulls, in a partially flooded field.

A black tern, possibly the same one, flew through the Tower Gardens community 5 this afternoon...
