 Hi all,

Got up early-ish and went to Aspen Hill Park in Rockville to check for migrants. There were so many birds flying around, I know I missed some!  I first birded the soccer field edges and then along the trail. As the sun came higher
the  trees started to become alive with migrants. The Gray Catbirds stole the show, with as many as 15-20 in one brushy section!  As I was leaning against a tree spying birds, I heard a clatter in the woods behind me. About 30 yards away, two huge White tail bucks were playfully sparring!  Ahhhh, fall is in the air.  Pretty soon those spars will be the real deal.
