Dan Small, Jim Green, and I birded Taylor's Island in Dorchester County all morning today. The northeast winds came through for us, and it was a bang-up day for migrants. We had 22 species of warbler on the island -- including Wilson's, Cape May, Nashville, Tennessee, Blackburnian, Canada, and Northern Waterthrush -- and we added a 23rd species (Blue-winged Warbler) on the drive back to Blackwater. The most abundant warblers were Black-and-white, American Redstart, and Northern Parula.

It was also a good day for non-warbler migrants. Highlights included Least Flycatcher, Warbling Vireo, Veery, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, and Baltimore Oriole. We had several first-of-season Ruby-crowned Kinglets and a good-sized kettle of about 65 Broad-winged Hawks as well.

Full lists and counts will be in eBird later.
