Thank you for the post Noah! I tried there this morning for the Golden-winged Warbler, and was very happy to see one at 7:10 and again at 7:50. I think I saw the same bird twice, a beautiful male. Also had Nashville, Parula, Magnolia, Bay-breasted (a "Bay-sided" male - very nice!), Redstart, Yellowthroat, and Canada Warbler.
I had tried to see one several times this year with no luck, and I thought it was getting so late now I would miss it this year (we are only 8 days now from late date in Yellow book - Sep 27). It was feeding actively with a flock of mixed passerines near the upper end if the Lake, in a semi-open area. No hint of any cross-breeding, a beautiful bird!
Cheers-
