Just now a young Coopers Hawk is giving about 30 American Crows hell
in and around our meadow.  If she (based on size, I have determined
it's a female) learns how to hunt as successfully as she is fighting
off mobbing crows, she'll have a long and productive life.  We have
resident adults nearby, so chances are she'll strike out on her own,
in a new territory here in Pleasant Valley.
