This morning I spent about a half hour walking around the two new impoundments at Swan Harbor Farm in Havre de Grace. I was walking the blacktop path between the two impoundments when I heard the high-pitched call of a Sora coming from the westernmost impoundment at the water's edge, just to the right of the path about halway down and no more than 30 feet from me. I never caught a glimpse of the bird, but I played my ipod and the bird responded with it's entire repertoire, including the whinny sound twice. I thought it was worth mentioning as there weren't any September reports in eBird. This was @ 9:30-9:40 AM.
