There was a big flight of thrushes last night. This morning when I awoke
I could hear them before I even got out of bed. I stood outside for a while
and also took the dog for a walk in the dark. All the time I could hear the
frequent calls of Swainson's Thrushes as they passed over. I made out at
least one Gray-cheeked Thrush above the insect noise which seemed
particularly loud. I could still hear the Swainson's Thrushes while I was
inside eating breakfast.
After the fog cleared a little I went out to Piney Run Park for a good
walk. Of course there were no thrushes to be seen; and very few migrants of
any kind:

Pewee 1
Red-eyed Vireo 2
House Wren 1
Catbird 11
Brown Thrasher 1, heard only
Ovenbird 1
Parula 1
Magnolia Warbler 1
Black-throated Green Warbler 2
Yellowthroat 1
Towhee 2, heard only
Chipping Sparrow 5
