A number of raptors were beating against heavy headwinds trying to coss the mouth of the Potomac at Pt Look-out this morning. Most turned back. Among them were at least 3 Merlins, 4 Kestrels, innumerable Cooper's but just one Sharpie (that we saw). At least 8 Bald Eagles of various ages were soaring together in a close group.

Many passerines were also present in the scrubby "Fort" area. We had many Pewees,  Blue-headed Vireo, Ruby-cr Kinglet, and 2 Redstarts. We also came across Mikey Luetmerding who had spotted many more migrants - he will probably report on them himself.
