A Rough-legged Hawk was seen at the Cromwell Valley Park HawkWatch on Tuesday, Oct. 4th, at 10:05 AM.  This was a dark form bird which flew by a little higher than tree-top level, giving a great view.  I understand this is rather early in the season for Rough-legs, which are usually seen in mid to late November in our area, when seen at all!  Broadwings coming through this late in the season is rather unusual.
