I saw a few nice birds during my morning walk at Schoolhouse Pond today, including several new arrivals for the fall. Highlights included my first White-throated Sparrow and Ruby-crowned Kinglet of the fall, a low adult male Tennessee Warbler (foraging in one of the willows near the boardwalk), and two Rusty Blackbirds with a larger group of Red-winged Blackbirds. Other birds included increasing numbers of Canada Geese (42), 300+ flyover European Starlings, several Flickers, five Cedar Waxwings, a calling Eastern Phoebe, two Double-crested Cormorants, and three Wood Ducks.
