Took a short walk on the BWI bike trail at the Airplane observation area off Dorsey Road yesterday evening. Some Bluejays , lots of Robins and some Cedar Waxwings, Catbird and Carolina Wren . Most notable i thought was the Pileated Woodpecker that was vocal most of the time i was there . Seems he owns these woods here between Dorsey road and Rt 97 just below where the planes fly over low before landing . Again found NO grassland birds.
I was hopeful today wouldnt be so dreary and could get out for some birds but...........
