Hi Everyone,
I would like to retract the report yesterday of the Conn. Warbler. Photos
taken by Stephanie Lovell show the bird having a rust marking on its head
and white on its belly. The bird does not have a yellow throat, which was
explained to me by Matt Hafner as the feathers were missing. He also pointed
out another warbler picture taken by Stephanie yesterday was an
Orange-crowned Warbler. The link for the photos is below, please share any
comments. As for me, it looks like I need to go back to Fall warbler
identification school.

Dave Powell

Subject: [MDOSPREY] Lois Green Park - Mont County
Hi Everyone,
I led a MBC walk this morning at the Lois Green Park in Montgomery County
and was treated to several nice birds. A few minutes into the walk, we had a
large flock of 40-50 Myrtles go past us, included in the flock was a Cape
May, Black-throated Greens and a Blue-headed Vireo. Near the second pond we
found a Connecticut Warbler which gave us great looks in a tree while it
preened away in full sun. Nearby we found a Nashville Warbler. Other
warblers seen were Tennessee, Blackpoll, western Palms and a Magnolia.
Sparrows had arrived and we were treated to White-throated, Swamp, Field and
Song. Great morning to be out.
Regards,
Dave Powell
