Around 11:15-11:30 AM, I sighted at least 12 Wild Turkey in a semi-wooded
pasture on my farm.

The group included at least one tom and a number of hens and/or immature
birds. They were feeding and continuously calling. Several birds sitting on
the ground were fluffing and unfluffing their breast feathers with partially
opened wings (postures and movements similar to small birds taking dust
baths).

I tried and repeatedly failed to get photos/video: the birds were only
visible from the upper side deck and a post was (of course) blocking every
view from the scope. When the flock began to move slowly up the hill, I
carefully crept down the deck stairs to the driveway. Just as I had a single
turkey in the camera viewfinder, the entire group ran down the hill!

Oh well, maybe next time...
