Today I went "land cruising" in my backyard.  That means I sat in my lawn chair, wrapped in a blanket, sipping  hot tea, and holding my binoculars.  It was a gorgeous fall morning and my "homey" birds were putting on a good show. A Rufus-sided Towhee joined them. ( Sorry, I guess, it's now called an Eastern Towhee.)  I hope he will stay.  To my great surprise I saw a tiny migrator in the Dogwood trees.  It was a Blue-headed Vireo!  Yippee!
