Hi All,

A late morning visit to McMillan Reservoir in DC turned up some interesting birds (18 species) over 20 minutes.  Highlights included LBBG (2), and a late Season Osprey.  Out of the corner of my eye I saw a small swift/swallow  coursing over the water, but couldn't relocate it.

Here's the full list:

Canada Goose  35
Mallard  9
Ring-necked Duck  11   Northeast end - good looks with scope (probably continuing birds)
Ruddy Duck  1     continuing male from June?
Pied-billed Grebe  4 (possibly even a 5th)
Horned Grebe  1
Double-crested Cormorant  2
Osprey  1     flew low right overhead and chased by 2 crows
American Coot  3
Laughing Gull  2
Ring-billed Gull  60
Herring Gull  40
Lesser Black-backed Gull  2     2 resting on buoy (took photos)
Great Black-backed Gull  1
Mourning Dove  1
American Crow  3     calling and chasing Osprey
Golden-crowned Kinglet  1     in Juniper trees
European Starling  X

Good birding!
