MDOsprey,
I should have included the disclaimer on Swan Creek.

*** NOTE: Swan Creek/Cox Creek is an active industrial site and mitigation
project in northern Anne Arundel Co. Access is at the end of Kembo Road off
Fort Smallwood Road near 695. The site is open ONLY Monday through Friday
7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please be in your car and leaving at 3:30 p.m.
Remember to always sign in at the office, to be on your best behavior
(people have worked hard to coordinate this access), and to stick to
permitted areas. This Swan Creek map linked here details where you are and
aren't allowed to walk.

After leaving Black Walnut Point and the 6 (Atlantic) Brant behind I
stopped at Pickering Creek to look for the Clay-colored Sparrow but I did
not find it. As a consolation prize I got a Golden Eagle.

Golden Eagle 1 First spotted by Charles ? of the Talbot Club.
Sub-adult, very small pointed head, soared in a shallow "V", white patches
on the underside of wing contained many brown feathers, the white at the
base of tail was a grayish white and extended completely across the tail.

On my way home I stopped by Swan Creek and found some late shorebirds plus
Ring-necked Ducks and Canvasback. No sign of Matt's Orange-crowned Warbler.

Swan Creek Wetland--Cox Creek DMCF, Anne Arundel, US-MD (partial list)

Canvasback 1
Ring-necked Duck 2 Male & female in the North Cell. Vertical white
stripe on side showed well on the male.
Semipalmated Plover 1
Killdeer 3
Greater Yellowlegs 1
White-rumped Sandpiper 1 North Cell on the south edge. Large peep with
streaks on the side, heavy bill with a slight droop, wings extending past
the tail.
Dunlin 3
Stilt Sandpiper 1 North cell on the south edge. Saw next to a GRYE.
Long drooping bill with white stripe above eye, still has some streaking on
the flanks, grayish in winter plumage.
