The place was extremely birdy , especially down towards the canoe launch. Thousands of Common Grackles, lots of woodpeckers (mostly Flickers) and 6 species of sparrow including at least one Vesper Sparrow ( possibly up to 3). I also observed a very bright Yellow Palm Warbler.
