New species for Oxbow Lake - Marsh Wren - found by Jay Sheppard this morning.
Really need to do a good survey of the marsh area - no telling what species might turn up!

Comments: Conditions at 11:15 AM: 46.7 °F; Clear; Humidity: 79%; Wind: Calm;
Visibility: 10.0 miles; Dew Point: 41 °F; Precipitation: 11% Chance of Rain;
Pressure: 30.31 in; UV: 3. This is a Jay Sheppard report. It was probably colder
when he started (I will adjust later). Jay is out in the marsh. He checked the
condition of the beaver dam and found it was severly damaged after the wind and
rain produced by Hurricane Irene and the affects of Tropical Storm Lee. The mud
is expanding every day, although a lot of water remains. Good conditions for
waterfowl, shorebirds, and raptors. Jay found a new species for the Oxbow -
Marsh Wren. Really need to do a good survey of the marsh area - no telling what
species might turn up!
