A lunchtime walk around Constitution Gardens and the Lincoln Monument produced these highlights:
   Constitution Gardens
   (2) Brown Creepers and a Ruby-crowned Kinglet by the restroom building
1 Red-tailed Hawk flying over the pond
1 Cooper's Hawk flying over the pond shortly after
   1 female Ring-necked Duck

Highlight of highlights at the Washington Monument:
Two Peregrine falcons (adults) were flying around the monument. When I first spotted them, they were flying circling the monument closely and were below the peak. There was a person working on the peak, and that person should have had an excellent look at the birds. I'd love to know if the worker saw the falcons. The falcons then soared high up over the monument for a few minutes, and headed south.
