Jay Sheppard and I arrived just as Michael O'Sullivan was leaving (and two other birders arrived as we were leaving). The plover could only be seen from the area next to the end of the sidewalk as it was hunkered down on the southern edge of the pond (to your left as you are looking at the pond). The sidewalk is along Rte 216 in front of an elementary school. Two other birders arrived as we were leaving around 7:40 a.m. It was cold and windy (Conditions: 39 °F, Wind WNW at 6-11 mph).
