I did some Thanksgiving birding today at Swan Harbor and had a fairly decent return. The new impoundments were productive for waterfowl, with highlights being 3 Redhead, 3 Green-winged Teal, 2 Common Goldeneye, 31 Gadwall, and large numbers of Canada Goose and Mallard. I also had great views of a female Northern Harrier. There were large numbers of sparrows present, mostly Song, but with some White-throated, Swamp, Savannah and Junco mixed in. At the DU impoundment I saw two American Coots.

After birding Swan Harbor, I headed over to Tydings Marina in Havre de Grace, but there wasn't much to be seen. Highlights were 11 American Coot and a single Great Black-backed Gull.
