Hi all,

I spent some time this morning at Perryville Community Park in Cecil Co. and had at least four juvenile Red-headed Woodpeckers along the wooded road into the park. I saw the first one fly up from the ground at the roadside, then three others were seen all at once a few moments later just past where I saw the first one. I pulled of the side of the road and stayed in the immediate vicinity, watching them off and on for about an hour. They didn't all stay right together, but they all stayed in the immediate area and moved between the tree tops and the ground intermittently. If you want to look for them, set your trip odometer at the entry gate-at about .7 miles in, you'll come to a park bench at the side of the road on the right. This is about the middle of the area they're staying. If you sit on that bench and watch the tree tops and the area along the water, you'll eventually see them moving around. They were still around when I left @ 12:15PM.

Happy Thanksgiving!
