My husband and I stopped by Robert E. Lee Park today and got a look at the
bird. Unfortunately we did not have binocs but it was definitely different
from the juncos and sparrows it was hanging out with. It also sang. That
was a nice treat (it stopped when I tried to record it). It was maybe 15
yards prior to the first bench on the left side of the boardwalk, feeding on
seeds in the light-colored grass on the slope next to the light rail tracks.
Park at the Falls Rd. Light Rail station. Thank you to John and Kevin for
finding this bird.
We tried to get pics but don't have a zoom.
