I use Avast free antivirus, which also removes spyware. It seems to 
be very effective, and it's free. Or you can pay for the Pro 
version; there are several options.

By the way, I got two such emails from Steve Noyes' account - one to 
me personally and the one to MDOsprey. I always figure if somebody 
sends a link with no accompanying text it is probably spam.
