Hi all,

I went down to the Potomac River Parks early this afternoon to see whether
the recent cold front had brought in any interesting waterfowl. Besides
the usual (for this time of year) Lesser Scaup and Bufflehead at the
junction of the Potomac and Anacostia rivers, I found one LONG-TAILED DUCK
on the Potomac 100 ft north of the 14th St bridge. It is closer to the
Virginia side, so a scope is useful if viewing from DC.

Good birding,
