	Jim, thanks for your welcome sighting and your clear indication of
	the location.   My favorite short-eared own site has always been
	Shorter's Wharf on Maple Dam road, east, then south of Blackwater
	NWR.

	But you stirred a dim memory from several years ago when
	there was a very high number of short-ears, seen about this
	time of year, very near the PA border.    I wonder if anyone
	else recalls that, . . . in more detail than I can access tonight?
	And I wonder if, perhaps, it was near where you describe?
