If you'd like to see two playful River Otter, now is the time at Oxbow Lake. Because of the almost 2.5" of rain that fell on Thursday, the Little Patuxent River backwashed into the Oxbow so there is a lot of water in the lake right now. The River Otter were very active this morning with lots of water to hunt and play in. A very smart Great Blue Heron shadows the otters as they kick up food sources for them and make hunting a little easier.
